A man came to Shammai saying, "Teach me the whole Torah while standing on one foot."
Shammai took a stick and hit the man with it. The man then went to Hillel, saying the same thing. Hillel said to the man, "Do not do unto your fellow what you would not have done unto you. That is the Torah. Now go and study."
