Second Amendment

The Second Amendment is as follows:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

We have not adequately addressed the Second Amendment in our public discourse, instead allowing special interest groups to control and bully their way into the conversation.

What is a militia? How is a militia necessary for security?

Today we see that militias are groups of insurgents who are bent on forcing the conversation to go "their way." Look at militias today and you will see a bunch of paranoid White men who are fighting for White rights. This cannot be the intent of the Second Amendment.

Today a well regulated militia is in no way necessary for the security of our free state.

We transferred the militia to our armed forces, and when we did this we should have addressed the Second Amendment and brought it up to speed. Instead the Second Amendment is an anchronism, which has the power to destroy our free state.

Do we really have a constitutional right to kill other people?

Do we really have a right to use guns to bully people into accepting our political arguments?

Do we really want to stand by as guns destroy our culture, our youth, our society?

I would argue that the Second Amendment is about male power and male priviledge and it is time to let it go.
